Back in June, I received a message by way of Ancestry.com from someone who thought he was possibly related to me. His name was Doug Bode. My first thought was, never heard the name Bode. He went on to say he was adopted at birth, raised in southern Minnesota, and now resides in California. He always knew from his parents that he was adopted. At some point, they provided paperwork that gave his birth name and date. For whatever reason, he was never particularly interested in his birth background until recently. His name was Kevin Richard Weinand. Well, I told him I would see what I find mainly using my genealogy database. It took me about half a day determine who his birth mother and internet searching to find who I believe was his father.
